This seven-year old business has over 26-years of experience!
Co-owner, Gregg Jensen graduated from USF in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a degree in Chemistry & Biology and then helped on the family farm near Wakonda, South Dakota while working full-time at Prinsco, making drain tile. When Gregg's Father-in-law unexpectedly passed away, he took over the farm and tiled his own ground....which lead to other tiling jobs. Gregg enjoyed installing Agricultural Drain Tile for others so much that he wanted to turn it into a full-time business.
Co-owner, Gordon Andersen tiled his own farm near Centerville, South Dakota, over 20-years ago. When his friends and neighbors saw all of the benefits of drain tile, they asked Gordon to improve their land as well. (Do we see a pattern here?) Gordon put drain tile in their cropland and word spread. His "one-time tile job" turned into a side business which he enjoyed working for over 20-years.
Just as Gregg was looking to take his Drain Tiling business to the next level, Gordon was looking at slowing down a bit. Both being from rural South Dakota, their paths crossed at the perfect time. In 2018 Gregg and Gordon merged and G2 Drainage was created.
Gordon still loves to talk with farmers about the benefits of Agricultural Drain Tile in South Dakota. With over 20-years in the industry, Gordon is extremely knowledgeable and enjoys sharing his expertise.
Gregg is ultra organized and runs the business like a 'well oiled excavator'. He loves going to the farmers land and assessing what they need to help improve their farming operation. Gregg walks the farmers through the entire process and educates them on what should be done. He believes that a farmer should drain only what is necessary for good trafficability and crop growth - and not a drop more. Gregg also respects the farmers budget and will help them get their project done in stages, if needed.
When you decide to work with G2 Drainage, everything (paperwork, permits, etc), will be done by them before the job starts.....and they stand by their quote 100%. It won't cost you a penny more when the job is done (unless, of course, YOU made changes to the scope of work)!
G2 Drainage has tiled cropland throughout Eastern South Dakota and they would be honored to talk with you about your land and the needs you might have.
All hands on deck to keep the equipment running in the fields!
Gregg is a 4th generation farm kid who attended the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to play Defensive Line on the football team and study Chemistry and Biology. After graduation, he went to work for Prinsco in Beresford, South Dakota, who makes drain tile. Gregg worked in the Ag Pipe Prod...
Jake is pretty much the jack of all trades. When asked what his title is he responds with: "Truck Driver, Excavator Operator, Line Connector, Tractor Operator, Tile Plow Operator." He drives truck, digs starter holes, hooks the pipe to the connections, inlets, outlets....he goes where he's needed!
Dylan is one of the newbies of the team but if he didn't do his job, there would be no pipe to lay! Dylan gets the pipe ready for the plow and then makes all the connections. His least favorite part of the job is struggling to learn new things....once he gets done with his training and is a pro at his job, he won't.
Brayden is the newest addition to the G2 Drainage team. Brayden and his wife, Michelle, live in Viborg, S.D.
